This film is also used on airplanes, RVs, cell phones, electronics, screens, motorcycles and many other areas. Paint protection film is OEM approved by virtually all car manufacturers. It's transparent , not visible if it's installed properly. Some manufactures install it before customer take delivery of the car but only on high impact areas. It is made from a type of plastic that has a certain amount of elasticity, this allows it to be curved, stretched and bend around corners and bends. It is 10 times thicker than ceramic coating but not as hard as ceramic coating to allow installation on curved panels.

INSTALLATION PROCESS

It depends on the brand, but this is a general installation process.

The first step is to wash the car and polish it.

Spray the surface to where it will be applied with water and soap, and do the same to the film layer being applied.

Cut film to the size of the panel. Make sure to leave a bit extra. If it's pre-cut, then go to the next step.

Remove the backing of the film before application.

Use a squeegee to remove any excess liquid from underneath the PPF. Slowly and gently rub the squeegee on top of the film, don't put too much pressure.

Inspect the panel to make sure there is no area with bubbles left behind

Use the blow dryer or heat gun to bend the edges and make sure they are fully attached to the panel

Wipe the panel and inspect the whole car
