Suede, microfiber and specialty materials
Specialty materials can carry specific restrictions. For example, Ford's current interior-care guidance says not to steam-clean its suede microfiber fabric. This is why professional assessment and the correct owner's manual matter more than a universal claim that steam is safe everywhere.
