Professional Paint Correction at Our Bloor West Studio

Toronto driving and regular washing can leave vehicle paint covered in circular swirl marks, wash marring, light scratches, oxidation and water-spot etching. Under sunlight or street lighting, these defects scatter reflections and make an otherwise clean vehicle look dull.

Paint correction improves the clear coat through controlled machine polishing. It is different from wax, which adds temporary shine without removing defects. Our work begins with an inspection so we can determine whether your vehicle needs a single-stage polish for gloss enhancement or a more intensive multi-stage correction.

Before and After Paint Correction

The media below shows actual vehicles handled by MNV Auto Detailing. Results depend on the depth of each defect, clear-coat condition and the amount of correction that can be completed safely.

Before correction

Swirls and Reduced Clarity Under Inspection Lighting

Direct lighting reveals wash-induced marring, visible swirl marks and a finish that no longer reflects cleanly.

After correction

Deeper Gloss and Cleaner Reflections

The same paint after machine polishing shows significantly improved clarity, stronger gloss and reduced visible defects.

Correcting the Paint Without Unnecessary Aggression

The goal of paint correction is not to chase every mark at the expense of the clear coat. We inspect the defect, perform a test area and select the polishing combination that produces the best practical improvement while preserving the finish.

What We Assess

Paint Defects We Can Often Improve

Paint correction works on defects that remain within the clear coat. An inspection helps determine whether polishing can safely improve the problem or whether paint repair is required.

01

Swirl Marks

Circular marks commonly caused by automatic washes, dirty wash media and improper drying.

02

Light Scratches

Eligible surface scratches may be removed or substantially reduced when they remain within the clear coat.

03

Oxidation and Haze

Dullness and reduced colour depth can often be improved through careful polishing and refinement.

04

Water-Spot Etching

Some mineral spotting and light etching can be improved after the paint is cleaned and inspected.

Paint correction cannot repair: deep scratches through the clear coat, exposed primer, rock chips, peeling clear coat, rust, dents, collision damage or missing paint. We will explain these limitations before recommending a package.
Our Bloor West Workflow

How We Approach Your Vehicle

Every vehicle is evaluated individually. Paint type, hardness, previous repairs and defect severity affect the pad, polish and correction level required.

STEP 01

Inspect

We examine the finish under direct lighting and discuss the improvement you want.

STEP 02

Prepare

The vehicle is washed and clay-barred so polishing begins on clean paint.

STEP 03

Test

A test section helps determine the least aggressive effective polishing combination.

STEP 04

Correct

Panels are polished methodically to improve defects, reflection and colour depth.

STEP 05

Inspect Again

The finish is checked for consistency before protection options are discussed.

Paint Correction Bloor West FAQs

Clear answers about scratches, correction stages, pricing, timing and paint protection.

How much does paint correction cost in Bloor West?

Our listed packages start at $299 for a one-stage polish, $499 for a two-stage polish and $800 for a three-stage polish. Vehicle size, paint condition, paint hardness, contamination and additional preparation can affect the final estimate.

Will paint correction remove every scratch?

No. Paint correction can remove or reduce defects that remain within the clear coat. Deep scratches that expose primer or remove paint usually require touch-up or repainting. We inspect the defect and explain what improvement is realistic.

How do I choose between one, two and three stages?

A one-stage polish is generally used for gloss enhancement and lighter defects. Two stages add a heavier correction step followed by refinement. Three stages provide the most intensive correction and finishing process. We recommend the appropriate level after inspecting your paint.

Is ceramic coating included with paint correction?

Ceramic coating is a separate protection service unless a current package or promotion specifically states that it is included. We can recommend a protection option after correction based on your vehicle and maintenance goals.

How long does paint correction take?

Timing depends on vehicle size, paint condition and the number of polishing stages required. Multi-stage work takes longer because it includes additional correction, refinement and inspection. We provide a more accurate timeframe after assessing the vehicle.
